About the role

This position supports the mission of HCA HealthONE Mountain Ridge by optimizing the quality of life of all those served, expanding beyond traditional medical needs to the needs of the whole person. Under the supervision of the Radiology Director, a Radiologist, and the Diagnostic Imaging Supervisor, the technologist performs procedures for patients from neonate through geriatric age groups, maintains expert technical and patient-care skills, and provides quality diagnostic results. When needed, performs other duties as assigned by the supervisor. The ARRT standard of practice describes clinical competency requirements and job responsibilities. The licensed independent practitioner (LIP) controls the ordering, preparation, and administration of medication/contrast, with authority delegated to competently trained technologists under facility guidelines and policies.

Responsibilities

  • Perform radiologic procedures in accordance with established protocols for patients of all ages.
  • Maintain expert technical and patient-care skills to ensure quality diagnostic results.
  • Adhere to ARRT standards of practice for clinical competency and job responsibilities.
  • Follow facility guidelines and policies for medication/contrast administration under the supervision of a licensed independent practitioner.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • ARRT certification or eligibility.
  • AHA or ARC BLS certification.
  • Graduate of an accredited school of medical radiography.
  • Clinical rotation or 1 year of experience.
