Radiology Technologist
About the role
The Radiologic Technologist (Rad Tech) at CHI Oakes Hospital will play a crucial role in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. Each day, you will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.
To excel in this role, you must deeply understand diagnostic imaging's critical importance, encompassing expertise in workflow, patient positioning, and capturing precise results essential for timely and accurate diagnoses.
Responsibilities
- Capable of obtaining quality radiographs of all body parts using proper exposure, markers, and shielding. Knows how to use portable x-ray machines and c-arms.
- Absolutely necessary to assist with Fluoroscopic procedures.
- Instructs and educates patients regarding the ordered test and prepares them for the procedure.
- Able to access PACS, review studies, and perform basic functions for image manipulations. Resolve QA issues, close studies as reviewed, burn CD’s, and transfer images.
- Records all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms.

Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited college or technical school for Radiologic Technology
- National Registered Radiologic Technologist (A)RRT
- Medical Radiographer registered in the state of North Dakota (NDMIRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) issued by the American Heart Association
Preferred:
- Radiologic Technologist experience in a Critical Access Hospital
- CT experience or willing to train
