Responsibilities

• Performs Diagnostic Radiographic, CT, Mammography, Bone Density, Ultrasound, or Special Procedures according to department protocols.
• Acts as the first line of interface with customers to fulfill their imaging needs.
• Participates in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) activities.
• Assists in maintaining the Performance Improvement Program.
• Oversees the radiology area and/or staff in the Manager’s/Director’s absence.
• Maintains department supplies and equipment for assigned sub-departments.
• Promotes teamwork and good customer service.
• Handles scheduling for assigned sub-departments.
• Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.

Requirements

• Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• Required National Certification and job performance in modalities that do not require certification.
• Appropriate National Certifications in two modalities or Certification in one modality plus one of the following:
  • Bone Density procedures
  • IR Special Procedures
  • Unregistered CT tech performing CT procedures
  • Student Coordinator responsibilities
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification.
• Familiarity with State and Federal regulations.
• One year of Acute Clinical Radiography preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.
