Radiology Tech II

Responsibilities

• Performs Diagnostic Radiographic, Cat Scan, Mammography, Bone Density, Ultra Sound, or Special Procedures according to department protocols.
• Functions as the first line interface with customers and ensures the accomplishment of their imaging needs.
• Participates in Performance Improvement (PI) and Quality Control (QC) activities.
• Assists in maintaining the Performance Improvement Program.
• Oversees radiology area and/or staff in the absence of Managers/Directors.
• Maintains department supplies.
• Promotes teamwork and good customer service.
• Handles scheduling for assigned sub-departments and maintains supplies and equipment.
• Responsible for processing and transmission of images to PACS.

Requirements

• Licensure and fluoroscopy permit as required by State.
• Effective July 1, 2017, appropriate national certifications in two modalities are required.
• Current BCLS (AHA) certification.
• Familiarity with State and Federal regulations.
• One year of Acute Clinical Radiography experience preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.

Schedule

Per Diem, 12-hour variable shift.
