Position Summary: Takes radiologic films providing quality images to physicians to aid in the diagnosis of medical.

Responsibilities

• Prepares and positions patients for x-rays and selects exposure factors accurately.
• Prepares and administers contrast media and/or medications within the accepted scope of practice and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Observes patient during procedure and reports abnormal activity.
• Maintains patient confidentiality per established CHN policies regarding HIPAA rights and practices.
• Maintains proper oxygen therapy on patients who require oxygen.
• Secures and safely transports e-cylinders.
• Accesses electronic patient health record via current system.
• Inputs and processes requisitions.
• Positions C-arm to the surgeons specifications.
• Locates/document patient dose.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of an accredited radiology program.
• Licensure/Certifications: ARRTR (American Registry of Radiologic Technologist) and AZ Medical Radiologic Technology Board of Examiners (MRTBE)- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT).
• Experience: The experience acquired during radiology program and student clinical training.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) - American Heart Association.

Skills

Must be able to use masks and nasal canula. Adjusts rate of O2 flow with mask/nasal canula according to written physician orders. Secures and safely transports e-cylinders. Accesses electronic patient health record via current system. Inputs and processes requisitions. Inputs all relevant information and provides film/imaging history to physician, as appropriate.
