About the role

As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be pivotal in producing diagnostic images that enable Radiologists to accurately diagnose and manage patient conditions. You will perform a variety of imaging examinations, including X-rays, ultrasound, diagnostic fluoroscopy, CT/CAT scans, and MRIs, while actively contributing to a positive patient experience through direct interaction.

Responsibilities

  • Perform quality radiographic procedures using appropriate department routines and general radiographic equipment, including portables and OR equipment.
  • Select and use proper immobilization and supportive devices when necessary.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of different views associated with each exam; use correct markers and label all images accurately, including patient name and initials.
  • Prepare the room, equipment, and supplies based on examination or patient needs; ensure the room is stocked and cleaned by the end of shift.
  • Report equipment issues to Supervisor and notify when supplies are low.
  • Verify correct patient using two identifiers (name and date of birth) and involve family members when needed.
  • Demonstrate awareness of radiation safety for patients, self, and co-workers; ensure correct shielding is used and monitor radiation exposure limits.
  • Exhibit strong communication skills with patients, family members, co-workers, and hospital staff; ensure patients understand procedures using the AIDET program.
  • Compensate for patient age in imaging techniques to ensure quality results.

Requirements

  • High School Graduate or GED.
  • Required licensure and certifications:
    • Medical Radiographer: CA
    • Fluoroscopy Radiology Tech: CA
    • Registered Technologist in one of the following ARRT certifications (upon hire):
      • Radiography
      • Bone Densitometry
      • Computed Tomography
      • Cardio Interventional Radiography
      • Mammography
      • Magnetic Resonance Imaging
      • Nuclear Medicine Technology
      • Quality Management
      • Radiation Therapy
      • Vascular Interventional Radiography
      • Vascular Sonography
  • Preferred: Previous experience in Diagnostic Radiology.

Pay

$40.40 - $50.30 per hour.
