About the Role
Under general supervision, operates specific Radiology equipment used for diagnosis and treatment. Provides appropriate patient care, processes images, and follows direction from the Clinical Educator for the specific modality. Acknowledges that safety is a self-responsibility and performs job duties safely at all times, utilizing learned body mechanics and transferring/lifting techniques. Maintains BCLS certification and complies with all mandatory hospital and radiology in-services.
Responsibilities
- Operate Radiology equipment for diagnosis and treatment
- Provide appropriate patient care and process images
- Follow direction from the Clinical Educator for the specific modality
- Promote safety and report any unsafe situations or equipment
- Clean and restock patient rooms as needed
- Comply with all mandatory hospital and radiology in-services
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Requirements
- Successful completion of one year of Radiology didactic instruction at an accredited Radiology, Ultrasound, or MRI program
- Proficiency in radiologic exams at a clinical site
- BCLS certification
