The Radiology Student Intern has an exciting opportunity to integrate their educational experience in the clinical setting. The Radiology Student Intern will be directly supervised in performing exams until he/she has successfully achieved competency in each specific exam. When competency is obtained, the Radiology Student Intern may work under indirect supervision.

Responsibilities

• Consistently demonstrates the quality performance of diagnostic imaging procedures, including room preparation, equipment operation, and physician assistance during imaging procedures, image development and image manipulation.
• Secondary duties include patient transportation, clerical/receptionist duties, stocking supplies, procedure room cleanliness, and participating in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Successfully enrolled in an accredited Radiologic Technology program and competent to perform numerous radiology exams.
• Must be within 1 year of graduation (within 1 year of obtaining ARRT certification).
• Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Able to perform work which requires frequent standing, bending, reaching, squatting, kneeling, moving, and lifting of patients and/or equipment up to 50 lbs.
