Radiology Patient Care Assistant II

Responsibilities

• Utilize a broad base of skills in basic patient care, to assist patients with preparation for exam, during and/or after exam.
• Establish positive rapport with patients, explaining what they should expect during each step of care.
• Communicate with all other radiology team members to assure positive transitions in care.
• Auxiliary support to the technologist or radiologist in the performance of basic patient care.
• Perform general clerical tasks within the department to ensure efficiency during the patient’s radiology imaging exams and services.

Requirements

• Must obtain CPR (Basic Life Support) certification once in position.
• Strong clinical and human relations skills.
• Basic knowledge of office duties and equipment.
• Demonstrates knowledge of age-related growth and development principles necessary to provide appropriate service and assure safety of patients.
• Proven proficiency in the operation of the following: Telephone, Fax Machine, Basic computer/keyboard skills, Epic, PACS and Copy Machine.

Qualifications

• Licensure/ Registration/ Certification: Must obtain CPR (Basic Life Support) certification once in position.
• Education, Experience or Equivalent Combination: Previous Office Experience In a Health Care Environment Preferred. Previous patient care experience in medical environment preferred.
