Radiology Medical Assistant I

About the role

The Radiology Medical Assistant (RMA) assists radiologic technologists in conducting patient exams by assisting in the clerical and non-technical aspects of the exam. Duties include stocking rooms, aiding patients to and from the exam rooms, and scheduling exams in the radiology information system (Radiant).

Responsibilities

• Aiding patients to and from the exam rooms
• Scheduling exams in the radiology information system (Radiant)
• Arranging and scheduling inpatients to come down for their appointments
• Transporting patients to and from the radiology department
• Starting IV’s in some modalities (training required)

Requirements

• High school graduate or equivalent
• LNA or comparable medical experience preferred

Qualifications

• Verification of high school diploma required
