About the role
The Radiology Medical Assistant assists radiologic technologists in conducting patient exams by assisting in the clerical and non-technical and non-exposure technical aspects of the exam.
Responsibilities
- Aiding patients to and from the exam rooms
- Stocking rooms
- Scheduling exams in the radiology information system (Radiant)
- Arranging and scheduling inpatients to come down for their appointments
- Transporting patients to and from the radiology department
- Starting IV’s in some modalities
Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- LNA or comparable medical experience preferred
Qualifications
- Verification of high school diploma required
