Radiology Information Specialist I - Per Diem

• Greet and direct patients
• Answer telephones, fax reports
• Complete the registration process
• Enter exam orders into the Radiology Information System
• Transcribe in Cerner
• Work in the PACS and related applications environment

• Answers the telephone courteously within 3 rings, identifying self and department
• Greets customers promptly and assures they are taken care of in a timely manner
• Completes the registration process
• Prints schedule and call for orders when assigned
• Call for a valid order when required
• Burns and uploads CDs with images and releases reports
• Fills in as Outpatient Receptionist
• Calls physicians office with results when needed and transcribes addendum of the delivery of the report
• Uses Radiology Information System (RIS), Hospital Information System (HIS), and PACS
• Demonstrates confidentiality using own password and all patient care modules
• Recognizes and performs which need to be performed although not directly assigned
• Keeps work area stocked with office and medical supplies efficiently and reorder through appropriate personnel when necessary
• Participates in hospital Performance Improvement activities using LEAN tools and techniques

Compensation Range

$27.21 / Hour
