About the role

The Department of Radiology at Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine seeks a full-time non-tenure-eligible Clinician-Educator up to a rank of Professor. Responsibilities include attending on the Breast Imaging service at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, as well as teaching and mentoring medical graduate trainees and students. The Breast Imaging Section is part of the Lynn Sage Comprehensive Breast Center, where state-of-the-art care is provided to patients with breast diseases. The section participates in multicenter clinical trials and research and development of new breast imaging technologies. A fellowship program in breast imaging is supported which includes 7 fellows each year.

Responsibilities

• Attend on the Breast Imaging service at Northwestern Memorial Hospital
• Teach and mentor medical graduate trainees and students

Facilities and volume

• Over 90,000 breast imaging studies and interventional procedures performed each year, including MRI-guided biopsies
• Mammography is fully digital with 12 systems including tomosynthesis-capable machines
• 10 state-of-the-art ultrasound units
• Prone tomosynthesis/stereotactic biopsy table
• 1.5 T MRI system

Requirements

• American Board of Radiology certification or eligibility
• Expertise in all aspects of breast imaging, including tomosynthesis, ultrasonography, MRI, and biopsy

Pay

The expected base range for this position is $417,686 – $502,275. Compensation consists of a competitive base salary with the opportunity to earn additional productivity-based compensation. The listed range reflects base salary only and does not include incentive earnings that are customarily attained, tuition benefits, or other competitive benefits.
