About the Role
As a Radiology Extern at Valley View Medical Center, you'll embrace a vital mission dedicated to making communities healthier. This per diem/PRN position allows you to contribute meaningfully while gaining valuable experience in a supportive healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Perform various imaging procedures in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice.
- Review patient history and physician's orders.
- Educate patients regarding procedures, equipment, and exams to ensure patient's understanding and cooperation.
- Assist with imaging exams in multiple modalities.
- Perform various clerical duties and assist with diagnostic exams.
- Prepare equipment and supplies.
- Transport patients.
Requirements
- Second (2nd) year student in a radiology program.
- Radiation Operator licensed through the state board of radiology.
- Must obtain AART certification within twelve (12) months of graduation.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
