About the role
The Division Director for Ultrasound will lead the ultrasound program within the Radiology department. This individual will oversee all aspects of the ultrasound service including clinical operations, education, research, and quality improvement.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the ultrasound service, ensuring high-quality patient care and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement educational programs for trainees and staff to enhance skills and knowledge in ultrasound imaging.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of ultrasound services into the overall healthcare delivery system.
- Participate in research activities related to ultrasound technology and its applications in clinical settings.
- Ensure adherence to institutional policies and accreditation requirements.
Requirements
- M.D. or D.O. degree with board certification in Radiology.
- At least 5 years of experience in a leadership role within a radiology department.
- Experience in ultrasound imaging and proficiency in interpreting ultrasound images.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to manage a team and develop educational programs.
Qualifications
- Doctorate in Medical Physics or related field.
- Experience in developing and implementing quality improvement initiatives.
- Knowledge of medical informatics and ability to integrate technology into ultrasound workflows.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills.
