Shift Description

Purpose: Oversees a medical facility's imaging department. Manages daily operations, staff technologists, budgets, and equipment procurement while ensuring strict compliance with regulatory standards.

What You Will Do

• Departmental Operations: Manage daily workflow, patient scheduling, and equipment maintenance for modalities like X-ray, MRI, CT, and Ultrasound.
• Regulatory Compliance: Ensure the facility meets accreditation requirements, such as those from the Joint Commission and the American College of Radiology.
• Staff Management: Recruit, train, and evaluate radiology technologists, while maintaining optimal staff coverage and competency standards.
• Budgeting & Procurement: Develop and oversee departmental budgets, including forecasting needs for new imaging technology and capital improvements.
• Quality & Safety: Monitor quality assurance protocols and enforce radiation safety guidelines.

Minimum Qualifications

• Requires Bachelor's degree; Masters preferred
• Requires five years experience managing Radiologic operations in a hospital setting; technical experience preferred
• Requires thorough knowledge of Radiology services and applicable regulatory requirements
• Working knowledge of marketing concepts is preferable
• Licensure: Florida CRT license preferred, ARRT Certification preferred, BLS Certification preferred
