Patient Safety
- Follow patient safety-related policies, procedures and protocols
- Demonstrate proactive approach to patient safety by seeking opportunities to improve patient safety through questioning of current policies and processes
- Identify and report/correct environmental conditions and/or situations that may put a patient at undue risk
- Report potential or actual patient safety concerns, medical errors and/or near misses in a timely manner
- Encourage patients to actively participate in their own care by asking questions and reporting treatment or situations that they don't understand or may "not seem right"
Supervision
- Develop efficient organizational structure
- Supervise employees and select, terminate, train, educate, correct deficiencies, perform appraisals, issue discipline, counsel, schedule work assignments
- Encourage staff teamwork and growth initiatives
Development
- Enhance professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, reading current literature, attending in-services, meetings and workshops
Benchmarks
- Establish and maintain data collection and monitor results for recurring reports
- Develop reports and track compliance records
Budget
- Develop and administer the division's annual budget
- Maintain expenditures
Standards
- Establish specific standards and objectives for clinical departments
- Ensure implementation of and compliance with standards, objectives and operating policies and procedures
Quality
- Develop, modify and oversee quality control program
- Administer quality assurance for assigned area
- Maintain data on image repeat counts and inadequate/incomplete exams
- Monitor data and reports required for State and National Radiology Standards
Manage
- Manage, coordinate and oversee technical and clinical activities and operations
- Identify and correct technical and clinical deficiencies
Qualifications
- Education: Essential: Bachelor's Degree
- Nonessential: Master's Degree
- Essential: Education specialization: Related Field w/Master's in Related w/in 36 Months
- Nonessential: Related Discipline
- Experience: Essential: 2 years directly related experience
- Nonessential: No preferred experience
- Credentials: Essential: CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days Intermediate Life Support Certification w/in 6 months
- Nonessential: RN Physical Conditions: Medium Work: Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.
- Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.
- Essential: Working conditions: Med Haz: Mod exposure to chemicals/dangerous equip/materials
- May be required to travel to various work sites
- May perform subordinate tasks in high census/vol
- Subject to an annual contract and performance appraisal
