About the role
The Radiology Assistant serves as a supportive member of the patient care team, assisting in routine and non-complex aspects of patient care and supporting the operations of the unit. This position facilitates the efficient operation of the assigned modality through consistent organizational and communication skills. The Assistant also assists Technologists, Physicians, RNs, and LPNs in the patient care process, working collaboratively with registration.

- May have additional duties assigned within the scope of the role
Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent required
- Graduate from a certified Nursing Assistant Program or a Health Occupations Program (HOSA) or completion of first clinical rotation as a Nursing student (completion of ‘Nursing Fundamentals' course) or 1 year of experience in a patient care role in an acute care, nursing home, imaging center, or home care setting required
- BLS required
Qualifications
- Knowledge of body mechanics and basic safety
- Medical terminology training preferred
- Ability to resolve customer complaints and concerns
- Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
- Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
- Ability to foster a cooperative work environment
