About the role
The successful candidate will lead a team of clerical officers and assist the Radiology Manager and Radiographers in the department. Imaging is undertaken for a range of specialities including Respiratory, Oncology, Urology, Vascular, Orthopaedic, Gynaecology, Paediatrics etc.
Responsibilities
- Lead a team of clerical officers
- Assist the Radiology Manager and Radiographers in the department
- Manage and maintain the administrative processes
- Ensure efficient and effective running of the admin team
- Deliver a high level of customer service
- Manage and maintain sound relationships within teams and with colleagues in other areas including corporate departments
- Interpret and communicate complex information in a way that others can understand
Requirements
- Recognised qualification in Business Administration (HNC)
- Experience of line management or supervision in a medical environment
- Experience of delivering a high level of customer service
- Experience of people management skills
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office package (e.g. Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Knowledge of Human Resources policies and procedures, including annual leave, recruitment, sickness absence and performance reviews
- Good analytical skills with the ability to interpret and communicate complex information in a way that others can understand
- Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Excellent planning and organisational and negotiation skills
Qualifications
Recognised qualification in Business Administration (HNC)

Benefits
The post is permanent and based at the Western Isles Hospital. The successful candidate will be required to register with the PVG Scheme (Protecting Vulnerable Groups Scheme).
Pay
£31,537 to £34,303 per annum plus £1,461 Distant Islands Allowance per annum
Schedule
36 hours per week
