About the role
The VA Orlando Healthcare System Radiology Service is seeking a Board-Certified Radiologist. New Fellows and Graduates are encouraged to apply. A hybrid work schedule is possible for highly qualified candidates.
Must be ABR-certified (or ABR-eligible) with additional fellowship training in Musculoskeletal imaging preferred. Must be able to perform joint injections, arthrograms, and joint aspirations. Must be experienced and competent in clinical radiology, with a good understanding of how various subspecialists function and the services they provide.
Opportunities include involvement in the education of radiology residents, medical and other healthcare trainees (students, resident physicians, and fellows), and presenting at conferences such as didactics, tumor boards, peer learning, and specialty-specific conferences. Travel between CBOCs (Community-Based Outpatient Clinics) is required.
While not mandatory, radiologists may participate in research projects they wish to develop.
Responsibilities
- Perform joint injections, arthrograms, and joint aspirations
- Provide clinical radiology services with a strong understanding of subspecialist functions
- Educate radiology residents, medical trainees, and other healthcare students
- Present at conferences (didactics, tumor boards, peer learning, etc.)
- Travel between Community-Based Outpatient Clinics (CBOCs)
- Participate in research projects (optional)
Requirements
- Board-certified or board-eligible in Radiology (ABR certification)
- Fellowship training in Musculoskeletal imaging (preferred)
- Unrestricted medical license in any U.S. State or territory
- U.S. citizenship
