Radiologist Assistant - Full Time, Days

About the role

Supports the Radiology Department by performing delegated patient-care and imaging duties under supervision of a licensed Radiologist. Prepares patients for diagnostic and interventional procedures, assists with positioning, and ensures safety and quality care. Maintains accurate documentation, follows radiation safety and infection prevention protocols, and communicates effectively with the care team. Responds to emergent situations and participates in quality improvement activities.

Qualifications

• Holds an active Florida DOH Radiology Assistant certification
• ARRT registration
• BLS certification
• Requires a master's or higher degree from an ARRT-approved radiologist assistant program, with successful credentialing
• Maintains compliance with background checks and continuing education

Skills & Abilities

• Knowledge of radiographic anatomy, radiation safety, infection control, and patient handling
• Proficient in EHR, RIS/PACS workflows, and effective communication
• Capable of assessing patient conditions, prioritizing tasks, and working collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team while maintaining confidentiality and adherence to regulations
