Radiological Security Specialist (Remote)
Role Overview
We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Nuclear & Radiological Security Expert to work on a contract basis. This role focuses on developing and implementing security protocols for nuclear and radiological materials, ensuring compliance with international safety standards. The position requires expertise in threat assessment, emergency response planning, and regulatory frameworks.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain nuclear and radiological security policies, procedures, and protocols.
- C Conduct risk assessments and vulnerability analyses for nuclear facilities and transportation routes.
- Provide training and guidance to personnel on security best practices and emergency response.
- Collaborate with international agencies and local authorities to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Review and update security plans to align with evolving threats and regulatory changes.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Nuclear Engineering, Radiological Sciences, or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in nuclear or radiological security, including regulatory compliance.
- Knowledge of international nuclear security frameworks such as the IAEA’s Nuclear Security Series.
- Experience with threat assessment, risk analysis, and emergency response planning.
- Familiarity with radiation detection equipment and monitoring technologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
