About the role

The position oversees the Radiologic Technology program, focusing on student experience, success, and academic quality. Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and implementing retention strategies, managing students on various statuses.
  • Managing faculty, externship quality, and clinical site quality.
  • Conducting classroom observations, providing feedback to faculty, and participating in program reviews.
  • Cascading pertinent information to faculty and organizing training sessions.
  • Maintaining program equipment and supplies, coordinating textbook orders, and ensuring compliance with accreditation regulations.
  • Attending meetings, preparing reports, and monitoring compliance with institutional, government, and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities

Teach courses, develop and implement assessments, coordinate faculty activities, assist with faculty selection, and manage externship and clinical sites.

Requirements

Master’s degree or completion of a Bachelor’s degree with current enrollment in a Master’s degree program. A minimum of three (3) years of experience in diagnostic radiologic technology. Certification/Licensure: A radiology supervisor and operator certificate, radiography supervisor and operator permit, diagnostic radiologic technologist certificate, and fluoroscopic radiologic technologist permit. Must hold current ARRT certification in radiography.

Qualifications

  • Two years of teaching experience and two years of management/supervisory/lead position or specialist experience in Radiologic Technology or related health care setting preferred.
  • A thorough knowledge of the specific program requirements and the ability to teach from a standardized curriculum.
  • A thorough knowledge of Carrington policies and procedures.
  • Doctoral degree and additional education in relevant fields are preferred.
  • Experience in curriculum design, evaluation, instruction, program administration, and academic advising.

Skills

Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively; proficiency in Microsoft Office; ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
