Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) $5,000 sign on bonus

About the role

CNY Family Care, LLP was founded in 1999 with the goal of providing compassionate and professional medical care. We are a Family Oriented Medical practice with Physicians, Physician Assistants, Nurse Practitioners and Diabetic Educators. Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for radiologic procedures and protect patient, self and other staff from radiation and other safety hazards.
• Select proper ionizing factors for radiological diagnosis using the principles of ALARA and adjusts and sets radiographic controls.
• Take x-rays following established procedures for patient care and safety to include proper infection control procedures for the work area.
• Evaluate radiographs and repeat as needed.
• Process radiographs using the operating system and send images.
• Utilize Electronic Medical Record (EMR) to verify orders, document x-ray releases, route imaging reports to patient charts, and other associated patient care functions.
• Work with radiologist and imaging center staff to coordinate the exchange of images and information for optimal patient care and result reporting.
• Prepare CD copies for patients and other specialty/imaging centers.
• Prepare the work area for stock and cleanliness while starting up all x-ray or computer units as per department protocol.

Requirements

• Associate's degree (A. A. / A. S.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school in science/radiologic technology or equivalent certificate from an accredited radiologic technology program
• One to three years related experience and/or training as a radiologic technologist in either a hospital or a medical practice environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• New York State license in diagnostic radiography
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist registration required
• If hired as Graduate Technologist a NYS limited licensure work permit must be obtained within 90 days of graduation and must pass licensing exam within 120 days of beginning employment

Pay

$38.00 - $42.00/hour (depending on experience), $5,000 sign on bonus, overtime potential, 10% shift differential
