Essential Job Functions

• Talks the patient through the procedure and answer questions to lower their anxiety and increase their understanding of the procedure.
• Positions the patient correctly and adjusts the imaging equipment to the specified position to create quality images of specific parts of the body.
• Prevents unnecessary radiation exposure both to themselves and to the patient.
• Fulfills correct techniques and procedures such as patient shielding to ensure adherence to ensure accurate and reliable diagnostic imaging services.
• Completes required documentation for each procedure to ensure proper patient records and facilitate seamless communication among healthcare providers.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Required: ARRT (R); Radiologic Technologist - DxBLS (CPR)-American Red Cross or AHA Healthcare Provider.
