About the role

The Radiologic Technologist & Medical Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients at Concentra. This position involves preparing patients for radiologic procedures, operating equipment, ensuring patient safety, and supporting other areas within the facility.

Responsibilities

  • Radiologic Technologist:

    • Prepare patients for radiologic procedures.
    • Escort patients to dressing and x-ray rooms, provide instructions, and assist with positioning.
    • Operate radiologic equipment to produce images for diagnostic purposes.
    • Ensure patient care, safety, and comfort during exams.
    • Maintain equipment in working order and report malfunctions.
    • Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation.
    • Maintain equipment and follow calibration, QA/QC procedures.
  • Medical Assistant:

    • Perform DOT and non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
    • Take vital signs and ancillary tests.
    • Absorb and assist providers during examinations and treatments.
    • Dispense medications and DME as ordered.
    • Complete quality assurance activities on equipment and devices.
    • Notify supervisor of equipment issues, supply needs, or facility concerns.
    • Communicate wait times, distribute employer results, and manage clerical tasks.
    • Follow HIPAA guidelines and safety rules.
    • Attend staff meetings or huddles.
    • Assist in patient flow and volume management.
    • Complete relevant training and certifications.

Qualifications

  • Education:

    • High School Diploma or GED.
    • Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology.
    • ARRT certification with active and valid certification.
  • Experience:

    • Customarily have at least six months of medical assistant experience.
    • Working knowledge of occupational medicine requirements (state specific).
    • Prior medical office, healthcare, and/or customer service-related experience preferred.
