About the role
The Radiologic Technologist & Medical Support Specialist plays a crucial role in providing exceptional care to patients at Concentra. This position involves performing routine x-ray examinations, supporting in other areas of the facility, and ensuring patient care and safety.
Responsibilities
- Radiologic Technologist:
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures.
- Escort patients to dressing and x-ray rooms, provide instructions, and assist with positioning.
- Operate radiologic equipment to produce images for diagnostic purposes.
- Ensure patient care, safety, and comfort during exams.
- Maintain equipment in working order and report malfunctions.
- Follow documentation procedures and complete required documentation.
- Maintain and operate x-ray equipment, including calibration and record keeping.
- Medical Assistant:
- Perform DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing.
- Take vital signs and ancillary tests.
- Absorb and assist with physical examinations.
- Dispense medications and DME.
- Apply bandages, dressings, and splints.
- Complete quality assurance activities and testing processes.
- Notify supervisor of equipment issues and maintain a clean, orderly facility.
- Communicate with patients and manage their expectations.
- Handle clerical tasks in both front and back offices.
- Participate in training and adhere to confidentiality and safety protocols.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Graduate of an accredited school of radiologic technology and certified by the ARRT.
- CPR/First Aid Certification.
- Customary medical assistant experience with knowledge of medical procedures and terminology.
- Prior experience in healthcare and customer service.
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
