About the role

The Team Lead Radiologic Technologist Flex works across multiple GoHealth Urgent Care centers, providing a variety of technical procedures and administrative support. This role involves performing and analyzing patient x-rays, supporting medical providers, and assisting with coordination of daily staff activities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform and analyze patient x-rays and report results to medical providers.
  • Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation of GoHealth Urgent Care Centers.
  • Support medical providers, medical assistants, and patients through various tasks related to patient care management, organization, and communication.
  • Ensure day-to-day operations including ordering, inventory management, call backs, etc. are completed regularly with follow-up from the On-site Manager.
  • Conduct monthly inventory.
  • Assist the On-site Manager in resolving patient concerns at the center.
  • Provide weekly oversight of calibrator calls.
  • Drive Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) and strategic initiatives in partnership with the On-site Manager (NPS, LWOBs, GoReg, Registration Errors, Conv Pay, MyHealth Registration, Quality Metrics, etc.).
  • Avoid registration errors and chart corrections.
  • Timekeep for all team members based out of their centers.
  • Assist centers with patient rushes and be available to step in last-minute to fill open shifts/call outs without premium pay.
  • Assist with MOD duties during the On-site Manager's absence, such as during weekly leadership meetings, conference calls, leadership events, weekends, etc.
  • Assist in the training and assessment of team members assigned to the center.
  • Under the direction of the clinical provider, perform x-ray services for patients by applying x-ray energy to assist in diagnosis or treatment of patients in all age groups from newborn to elderly.
  • Ensure patients are positioned correctly on or in front of equipment and protected during use.
  • Support patient registration by securing required paperwork and insurance documentation, verifying insurance and patient eligibility, processing co-pays, scheduling patient appointments, and answering patient questions regarding their care and keeping them informed of their status.
  • Prepare patients for examination, which includes conducting interviews to verify patient information, recording medical history; confirming purpose of visit; performing preliminary physical tests (blood pressure, weight, temperature, etc.) for vital signs and escalating critical cases to the provider as needed. Conduct point of care testing as needed (i.e., flu, strep, urinalysis, ECG, HCG); and provide patient information to the provider.
  • Stock supplies and maintain exam rooms, front desk, and reception area; ensure providers have medical supplies needed. Complete order sheets to maintain supply inventory levels; regularly check expiration dates on supplies.
  • Maintain medical records and scan charts to patient files. Answer phone calls, collect and sort daily incoming and outgoing postal correspondence. Ensure reception is well maintained. Conduct courtesy call-backs for patient follow-up on care. Perform opening and closing duties, which includes cashing out, end-of-day communication, and securing the building.
  • Follow operating instructions to perform and document daily controls and calibration of equipment; maintain Quality Assurance/Quality Control logs for equipment troubleshooting, perform preventive maintenance, and submit repair tickets as needed.

Requirements

  • Education: Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program required.
  • Work Experience: 2+ years Radiology Technologist experience required.
  • Licenses/Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) required at the time of hire (obtained through the American Red Cross (ARC) or American Heart Association (AHA). American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration required. Applicable state licensure as a Radiologic Technologist required. Valid State Driver’s License.
  • Additional Knowledge, Skills And Abilities: Knowledge of medical office management systems and procedures preferred. Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work. Social perceptiveness and service oriented. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organizational and planning skills. Proficiency in MS Office and patient management software preferred.
