About the role
We are seeking a Radiologic Technologist to perform advanced radiographic procedures, verify physician orders, and ensure diagnostic image quality. This role includes leading departmental programs, developing protocols, and mentoring junior staff.
Responsibilities
- Operate imaging equipment and perform radiographic procedures
- Explain procedures to patients and ensure their comfort and safety
- Maintain and enforce safety standards in accordance with regulations
- Lead departmental programs and develop imaging protocols
- Mentor and train junior staff members
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure diagnostic image quality
- Participate in safety and accreditation initiatives
- Ensure compliance with privacy and safety standards
- Travel between facilities as required
Requirements
- Completed radiologic technology program
- At least 5 years of experience as a Radiologic Technologist
- ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technologists) registration
- State licensure
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Skills
- Proficiency with computer systems and imaging equipment
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Flexibility to work various shifts
- Physical stamina for prolonged standing and patient assistance
Work Environment
This role involves exposure to patient environments and potential hazards, including radiation. Adherence to privacy and safety standards is mandatory.
