Radiologic Technologist - Seasonal PRN

About the role

Performs Diagnostic Radiographic, C‑Arm, Fluoroscopy, Portable, and Surgery Procedures. Must be able to be on an on‑call status and respond within thirty (30) minutes of notification. Conducts radiologic procedures to provide data that assists in patient diagnosis.

Responsibilities

• Operates x‑ray equipment to make radiographs of designated portions of the body.
• Under the supervision of a Radiologist, performs x‑ray/fluoro procedures on patients.
• Explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns.
• May administer barium salts or other chemical mixtures.
• Operates stationary and/or portable equipment used in the Emergency Department, Operating Room and at patient bedside.
• Takes pictures and develops film.
• Monitors, records and communicates as appropriate utilizing computerized documentation systems.
• Utilizes knowledge of age‑specific needs of patient in performance of duties and responsibilities.
• Orients and mentors new staff members.
• Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patient and staff.
• Provides a safe environment for administering contrast material.
• Assists with transporting patients.
• Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.

Qualifications

• Education/Skills: Technical or vocational training.
• Experience: Prefer at least 1 year of experience.
• Licenses, Registrations and/or Certifications: MRT, BLS, and ARRT, or be registry eligible with the ARRT; if only registry‑eligible, ARRT must be obtained within 90 days of hire. BLS certification must be obtained by an HCA approved vendor.

Pay

$45/hr.

Schedule

• Seasonal program: September 20, 2026 – April 3, 2027
• Minimum 72 hours per pay period
• May be asked to float to another facility within close geography for emergency staffing needs
• Four (4) weekend shifts required for each 4‑week schedule period
• Two (2) holiday shifts required during the 32‑week period (determined by Department Manager)
• PRN status – subject to first call‑off; no guaranteed hours
• Shifts may vary based on department needs
