Radiologic Technologist (PRN)

About the Role

The Radiologic Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using X-rays or other modalities to create images for medical evaluation. They prepare patients, position them correctly, operate imaging equipment, and minimize radiation exposure, all under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Follow physician instructions for imaging areas.
• Explain procedures to patients to reduce anxiety and improve understanding.
• Position patients accurately and adjust equipment to obtain quality images.
• Ensure patient and self-protection from unnecessary radiation.
• Adhere to proper techniques, including patient shielding, for accurate imaging.
• Complete documentation for each procedure to support patient records and communication.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, with graduation from a Radiology, Imaging, or related program.
• ARTR (R) certification and CPR certification from recognized organizations.
