Radiologic Technologist Responsible for performing radiographic and advanced imaging procedures to aid physicians in diagnosing diseases and injuries. Key duties include: preparing and positioning patients, operating imaging equipment, adjusting exposure factors, and ensuring image quality and proper identification. Practices radiation safety, maintains equipment, and reviews images for accuracy. Assists in advanced imaging modalities and special examinations, including fluoroscopy and contrast media handling. Provides patient education, maintains records, and ensures patient confidentiality. Supports team collaboration, demonstrates excellent communication, and adapts to changing needs. Performs routine equipment maintenance and minor repairs, and may assist in training students or new staff. Adheres to policies, standards, and safety protocols, with a focus on customer service and patient care. Requires ARRT certification in Radiography, BLS certification, and experience in advanced modalities and surgical settings. Skills include responsible decision-making, positive attitude, equipment proficiency, and professional development. This role is patient-facing, requires physical activity such as lifting up to 50 lbs, and involves frequent communication and safe handling of radiation and medical equipment.
