Radiologic Technologist - PRN

About the Role

Performs a variety of radiographic procedures using ionizing radiation, ensuring patient safety and high-quality imaging. Demonstrates competency in advanced procedures such as ERCPs, fluoroscopies, OR procedures, lumbar punctures, bronchoscopies, and trauma imaging. Assists in troubleshooting equipment and assessing patient conditions, documenting findings accurately, and preparing images for radiologist review.

Responsibilities

• Promotes patient care, safety, and smooth workflow within the department.
• Ensures proper use of equipment and materials, and communicates delays to patients and families.
• Performs quality checks on images, documents procedures, and operates PACS and EMR systems.
• Contributes to patient satisfaction and adheres to organizational behavior standards.
• Performs other assigned duties as needed.

Requirements

• Certified in radiology (ARRT registered, SCRQSA for South Carolina).
• CPR certification.
• Proficient in customer service, teamwork, computer skills, data entry, PACS, and EMR systems.
• No prior experience required; completion of accredited radiology program preferred.

Additional Details

This is a non-management role reporting to a supervisor or manager. Variable work shifts, with location at a healthcare facility in the Radiology department.
