Radiologic Technologist Instructor, Full Time
About the role
As a RAD Faculty member at American Career College, you will guide nursing students to change the lives of patients they will treat in their future careers in healthcare. You will share your success story with the next generation of nurses as a key member of a student-centered, innovative community.
Responsibilities
- Deliver class and/or clinical instruction according to an approved course syllabus using accepted and effective teaching methods.
- Develop daily lesson plans; advise and tutor students; maintain current and accurate attendance and grade records.
- Remain current in applicable program teaching field.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional growth activities in the respective field, and two (2) in-service training sessions annually.
- Participate in college activities such as in-services, faculty meetings, student functions, graduation exercises, open houses, new student orientations, and advisory board meetings.
- Strive for student success by providing quality instruction that results in students' achievement of course and program objectives, retention of students, and prepares students for entry-level positions in the healthcare field.
Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years of occupational experience in the subject field or closely related field, with at least two (2) years of full-time clinical experience in diagnostic radiography.
- A minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience in the subject areas taught or prior training in instructional methodology and teaching skills from a formal teacher educational program or any comparable training program or formal in-house training program.
- A baccalaureate degree.
- A current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography.
- A current CRT permit (State of California certification).
- A current CPR Card.
