About the role
As a RAD Faculty member at American Career College, you will guide nursing students to improve patient care throughout their careers. You will also share your success story with the next generation of nurses as part of a student-centered, innovative community.
Responsibilities
- Deliver class and/or clinical instruction according to an approved course syllabus using accepted and effective teaching methods.
- Develop daily lesson plans; advise and tutor students; maintain current and accurate attendance and grade records.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional growth activities, and two in-service training sessions annually.
- Engage in college activities such as in-services, faculty meetings, student functions, graduation exercises, open houses, new student orientations, and advisory board meetings.
- Strive for student success by providing quality instruction that results in students achieving course and program objectives, retaining students, and preparing them for entry-level positions in the healthcare field.
Requirements
- A minimum of three (3) years of occupational experience in the subject field or closely related field, with two (2) years of full-time clinical experience in diagnostic radiography.
- A minimum of one (1) year of teaching experience in the subject areas taught or prior training in instructional methodology and teaching skills from a formal teacher educational program or comparable training program.
- A baccalaureate degree.
- A current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification in Radiography.
- A current CRT permit (State of California certification).
- A current CPR Card.
Qualifications
