Radiologic Technologist III

About the role

This position involves performing routine and specialized diagnostic and therapeutic interventional radiology procedures under the supervision of physicians. The technologist assists in maintaining a smooth operational flow and managing patient volumes.

Responsibilities

• Assists the physician during surgical procedures, circulating within the room and preparing necessary equipment.
• Positions patients appropriately and selects radiation exposure parameters.
• Maintains a high level of accuracy and awareness regarding radiation and patient safety.
• Demonstrates knowledge of normal and abnormal anatomy, physiology, and radiation safety.
• Operates and troubleshoots radiographic/fluoroscopic, interventional radiology, and related surgical equipment.
• Documents clinical activities and required imaging information accurately and promptly.
• Maintains equipment, supplies, and work areas according to department guidelines.
• May perform standby duties.

Requirements

• Comprehensive knowledge of radiology principles and practices, including anatomy and physiology, radiation protection, and physics.
• Ability to operate various radiographic, fluoroscopic, interventional radiology, and surgical equipment.
• Knowledge of growth and development across the lifespan and ability to assess patients' needs.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Professional behavior and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of recent experience (within the last 12 months) as a Radiologic Technologist, including one (1) year of recent experience in Interventional Radiology (IR).
• Valid Advanced Certification in Cardiovascular Interventional Radiology (CV), Vascular Interventional Radiology (VI), or Cardiac Interventional Radiology (CI), issued by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) preferred.
