Job Summary

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Radiologic Technologist I Electrophysiology Lab for their Edgewood EP Lab. The position is full-time, 40 hours per week, 1st shift.

Job Description

• Operates and maintains all radiographic, digital, processing and viewing equipment associated with the production of high-quality images.
• Affixes principles of radiation safety and protection.
• Acts as first assistant during diagnostic EP studies, therapeutic ablation procedures, and surgical device implantations to ensure completeness of case.
• Maintains a thorough knowledge in the use of all diagnostic and therapeutic equipment and products for procedures to ensure its' accuracy and safety.
• Reviews the pre-procedural patient assessment to obtain adequate information, communicate pertinent data to MD and ensure appropriate imaging and patient safety.
• Affixes in the education process of new employees, mentors students and other healthcare professionals observing in the EP lab.
• Affixes in the development of performance improvement activities in the EP lab, to include ideas, data collection, data analysis and implementing change to ensure best practice in the EP lab.
• Affixes to maintain accurate implantable device database.
• Must be able to perform above duties based on “population served” standards /competencies to include age-specific and diverse patient types.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Education, Credentials, Licenses

• Must be RT, licensed in the state where work is being performed and registered as a RT by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• CPR certification.

Specialized Knowledge

• Two year experience as an RT or one year as a Cath Lab tech/special procedure tech.
