About the role
The Radiologic Technologist performs imaging procedures under supervision, ensuring patient safety and high-quality diagnostics.
Responsibilities
- Interact with patients to prepare them for radiographic and fluoroscopic exams
- Select appropriate equipment and position patients correctly
- Apply shielding and program x-ray machines
- Assist with recordkeeping
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Graduation from an AMA-accredited Radiologic Technology program
- Registration with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
- State of New York radiation practice certification
- Current BCLS certification
Qualifications
Preferred experience: 2-3 years under a Board Certified Radiologist.
