Responsibilities
- Produces high quality images for interpretation by physicians that meet the standards established by the Mammography Quality Standard Act (MQSA) and Mayo Clinic Radiology Departments.
- Requires competence, as determined by competency assessments, in a variety of imaging equipment and technology.
- Practices proper safety guidelines for themselves, support personnel and patients.
- Fosters teamwork through effective communication.
- Maintains flexibility to staff various work locations, shift times and lengths.
- Performs other functional duties as assigned to assure efficient and optimal patient care.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited radiography program.
- Organized, efficient and multifunctional.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrates effective communication.
- Ability to work varied hours, shift lengths and respond to an on-call pager which may include days, evenings, nights, holidays and weekends.
- Radiologic Technologist or Mammography experience preferred.
- ARRT certified in Radiography ARRT certified in Mammography within 18 months of hire or 24 months for Critical Access Hospital, Per Diem, or Supplemental employees.
- Additional certifications may be required and determined by Radiology leadership.
- Appropriate state licensure from the state in which the candidate practices (if the state requires licensure).
- BLS certified.
