About the role

Responsibilities
- Prepares the patient for diagnostic procedures by explaining the process and positioning the patient appropriately.
- Correctly operates equipment to produce cross-sectional images of bones, organs, and tissue.
- Completes necessary requisitions and schedules exams accurately.
- Performs diagnostic Radiographic, Fluoroscopic, and CT exams both in the department and with portable equipment.
- Injects IV contrast media, as needed.
- Performs various examinations, reconstructions, and printing protocols.
- Determines and reports mechanical and electronic equipment failures.
- Explains the procedure to the patient and addresses any questions about the equipment or procedure.
- Moves and transports patients within the department as required.
- Orders necessary supplies and maintains par levels.
- Attends required in-services and orientations.
- Collaborates with floor staff to provide excellent patient care.
Requirements
- At least three (3) years experience as a Registered Radiologic Technologist and hold a current state license (as required).
- Hold ARRT or CMRT certification.
- Have a Basic Life Support (BLS) certification by start date.
- Be current with Continuing Education in all fields of licensure.
- Experience operating facility-specific equipment is desirable.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Current state license as a Radiologic Technologist.
Skills
- Proficiency in operating radiographic and fluoroscopic equipment.
- Ability to communicate effectively with patients and staff.
- Knowledge of medical imaging techniques and procedures.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in patient preparation and equipment operation.

Pay
- $38 per hour for Per Diem schedule.
