Radiologic Tech, Registered - Urgent Care

Responsibilities

• Prepares and performs radiological (X-ray) imaging.
• Reads and comprehends imaging orders, engaging with physicians when necessary for clarification or complex cases.
• Selects appropriate scanning protocols and imaging parameters based on knowledge of human anatomy.
• Interviews patients to understand risk factors and prepare them for examinations, ensuring cultural competency and patient comfort.
• Guides patients through their examinations, setting expectations and calming them for effective imaging.
• Uploads imaging results into the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
• Records information into the Electronic Medical Recordkeeping (EMR) system.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited program in Radiological Science.
• Registration as a Radiological Technologist from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
• Good understanding of human anatomy, which can be established through education or experience.
• Experience reading and interpreting radiology orders.
• Experience working with a Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).

Preferred

• Experience working with EPIC.
