About the role
The Department of Radiation Sciences seeks a radiography lab instructor to teach and supervise students to use medical imaging equipment, safely position patients, and practice proper radiation protection in a hands-on laboratory setting.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrate proper patient positioning and equipment operation using energized and non-energized X-ray labs
- Guide small student groups through hands-on psychomotor skill training
- Ensure strict compliance with radiation safety rules and patient care standards
- Collaborate with course faculty to ensure appropriate coordination and bridging between classroom theories and clinical applications
Minimum Qualifications
- Baccalaureate degree
- Current radiography certification by ARRT
- 3 years clinical experience as a diagnostic radiographer
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher
- 10 years' experience as a diagnostic radiographer
- 3 years' experience as a collegiate educator in radiologic sciences
