Adjunct Instructor - Radiography
About the role
This is a pooled position. One or more applicants may be hired as needed on a semester-by-semester basis to teach laboratory and lecture classes, as well as clinical instruction for students in the Associate of Applied Science degree in Radiography. Courses are to be taught in person on one of Ferris State University's Campuses or approved FSU sites. The candidate(s) selected for the position must reside in Michigan after acceptance of employment and will perform duties at a Ferris site. This posting is used for face-to-face, laboratory, online, or clinical instruction at external sites.
Responsibilities
- Provide classroom, lab, and online instruction as assigned
- Conduct clinical visits with students in their remote clinical sites to ensure they are completing required masteries
- Maintain office hours on-campus or online for students
- Adhere to the policies of the college and university
- Cultivate an environment of belonging that values, respects, supports, and celebrates individual similarities and differences, allowing students, faculty, and staff to thrive authentically
- Support, promote, and develop university student enrollment and retention initiatives
- Operate a university or personal vehicle safely while carrying out job responsibilities
Requirements
- Associate degree in Radiography and Bachelor's degree in Radiography, health sciences, education, or related field
- At least two years of full-time employment experience as a radiographer
- ARRT® Certification
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Radiography or a health- or education-related field
- Prior radiography teaching experience, 3-5 years of recent employment as a radiographer
- Specialty registries in one or more imaging modalities, including CT or MRI
Skills
- Demonstrated successful experience working directly with people from diverse backgrounds, including cultural, educational, socioeconomic, and life experiences

Pay
The salary is a minimum of $1,353 per credit hour; if an advanced degree is held in the primary academic discipline, the minimum rate increases to $1,458 per credit hour. Salary is commensurate with qualifications pursuant to the FSU and FNTFO/AFT Agreement.
Schedule
The anticipated start date of this position is August 2026 at the earliest and January 2027 at the latest.

The selected candidate for this position must be authorized to work in the United States at the time of hire without employer assistance or sponsorship now or in the future. The university will not assist with any F-1 EADs, OPT, H-1 B, etc.
