About the role

Responsible for X-raying patient using radiologic equipment that produces radiographs (x-rays) of body for diagnostic purposes, as directed by the Radiologist. Generates high-quality images of patients in order to assist with diagnosis and treatment.

Responsibilities

  • Performs and provides appropriate imaging and treatment processes in accordance with state, federal, and professional guidelines.
  • Demonstrates knowledge of a variety of imaging equipment including setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and proper care and sanitization of all equipment.
  • Obtains patient history, explains routine procedures, and addresses patient queries or concerns.
  • Maintains all equipment for procedures, assesses safety, physical, and physiological comfort of patient.
  • Makes necessary procedure revisions and coordinates daily imaging procedures.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an Accredited Radiography School.
  • 0-3 years of experience as a Radiographer or relevant area.
  • NJ State Radiologic Technologist (RT) license.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) Certification.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification.

Qualifications

  • Preferred Experience working in a Health Care Facility, Hospital System or relevant area.

Skills

  • Knowledge of a variety of imaging equipment including setup, utilization, troubleshooting, and proper care and sanitization of all equipment.
  • Ability to obtain patient history, explain routine procedures, and address patient queries or concerns.
  • Ability to maintain all equipment for procedures, assess safety, physical, and physiological comfort of patient.
  • Ability to make necessary procedure revisions and coordinate daily imaging procedures.
