Job Summary For Radio Technology Support (Motorola) Provide project management expertise for implementation of NCPD s new 7-800 MHz Radio System. Coordinate with Motorola, radio consultants, and NCPD staff to ensure successful system cutover and completion of all project milestones. Oversee system acceptance testing, ensuring all contractual and technical requirements are met. Manage and review system documentation, final invoices, and ensure all documentation is accurate and approved. Supervise and coordinate tasks of project radio consultants and County employees. Monitor and validate vendor invoices, ensuring compliance with contractual terms. Track project schedules, budgets, encumbrances, and change orders. Ensure compliance with FCC regulations, licensing, and construction deadlines. Validate system design and integration of APIs into NCPD NICE Logging, CAD, GIS/CC AWARE, and AMS systems using C, C++, Java, and ASP.NET. Oversee and support programming and configuration of radio subscribers (APX, XTS, XTL), dispatch consoles (MCC 7500), and microwave radio systems. Interpret radio coverage maps and ensure adequate system coverage. Implement and supervise the use of security features such as ADP/AES encryption, OTAP, OTAR, ISSI, and Radio Authentication. Provide technical and non-technical documentation reviews. Maintain strong verbal and written communication with project stakeholders. Serve as a team leader, ensuring self-motivation and effective supervision. Apply a minimum of 12 years experience in public safety radio communication systems, preferably in law enforcement environments.
