Radio Frequency (RF) Test Engineer
About the role
Hubble Network was founded with the intention of delivering on the promise of what Internet-of-Things (IoT) was supposed to be. We're building a global Bluetooth® network dedicated to machine-to-machine connectivity. We differentiate ourselves as the first modem-less and gateway-less, direct-to-satellite network from off-the-shelf Bluetooth® Low Energy chips. Hubble is ideal for applications in logistics, AgTech, and maritime where economies of scale for volume consumer and enterprise asset tracking is a priority. Our goal is to be the first billion-endpoint-connected network in the world. Hubble is an early-stage, venture-backed startup supported by some of the best investors in the world. In their previous lives, the founding team has been successful in raising $100s of millions in venture funding, developing the Amazon Sidewalk network, launching billions of dollars of space assets, and leading their teams to successful exits, both through acquisition and IPO. We are now looking to bring on talented team members who are the best at what they do to help us make Hubble a reality for the world. As a Radio Frequency (RF) Test Engineer at Hubble, you'll help ensure the reliability, performance, and longevity of our satellite hardware. You'll develop and execute the test, validation, and quality-assurance strategies that qualify our wireless payloads, uncover weaknesses, and prove that our hardware can thrive in the harshest environments space has to offer — including radiation, thermal cycling, and mechanical stress. Your work will span the full lifecycle — from design validation through flight readiness and into volume production — and will be central to scaling reliable, mission-ready hardware as we build out the Hubble satellite constellation. You'll work closely with cross-functional hardware, software, and mechanical teams to ensure reliability from initial design through manufacturing and in-orbit operation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute test, validation, and quality-assurance strategies for wireless payloads.
- Identify weaknesses and prove hardware can thrive in harsh space environments (radiation, thermal cycling, mechanical stress).
- Span the full lifecycle from design validation through flight readiness to volume production.
- Scale reliable, mission-ready hardware for the Hubble satellite constellation.
- Collaborate with cross-functional hardware, software, and mechanical teams to ensure reliability from design through manufacturing and in-orbit operation.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in hardware validation, test engineering, or RF systems testing.
- Experience in design, testing, and debugging of RF PCBAs, with thorough understanding of electronics reliability and failure mechanisms.
- Experience with test equipment (oscilloscope, VNA, spectrum analyzer, signal generator) and procedures for analysis, verification, and validation of RF products.
- Strong expertise in programming
