About the role
Under the direction of the Medical Director, this position calibrates radiation therapy units, supervises and participates in radiation surveys, leaks and swipe testing of radioactive sources for Radiation Oncology. It involves making complex calculations for external beam treatments, determining dosages, and providing instruction in Radiation Safety to hospital personnel.

Requirements
- MS degree in Medical Physics preferred, but other appropriate physical science graduate degree accepted
- Five years of clinical experience in clinical Radiation Therapy preferred
- Experience in calibration of equipment, medical dosimetry calculation, and operating QA/Radiation Safety Program preferred
- Board eligible for ABR or ABMP; board certification required within 2 years of employment
Qualifications
- Possess excellent interpersonal relationships and communication skills
- Current healthcare provider CPR required
Skills
- Knowledge of MS degree in Medical Physics or equivalent
- Five years of clinical experience in clinical Radiation Therapy
- Experience in calibration of equipment, medical dosimetry calculation, and operating QA/Radiation Safety Program
- Board eligibility for ABR or ABMP
