Radiation Therapist / RT Oncology

Responsibilities

• Provides health care services using ionizing radiation to administer treatment of cancer in accordance with the prescription and instruction of the Radiation Oncologist.
• Performs therapeutic, diagnostic, and quality control procedures.
• Adheres to policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure compliance and patient safety.

Qualifications

• Graduate of the Committee on Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) radiologic program or equivalent.
• Knowledge of a variety of software applicant programs;
• Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology, and Radiation Safety procedures.
• 3 years (5 preferred) full time experience in Varian clinic environment with VisionRT surface guidance (tattoo-less) CT Simulation with current Philips Brilliance but upgrade planned
• Experience with Varian Edge including multi-isocenter setups and Hyperarc SRS Epic Electronic Health Record software
• NM Radiation Therapy Licensed.
• BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and prior to providing direct patient care.
