Employment Type Full time Shift Description: Warms up and performs QA tests on simulator, CT, BAT and treatment equipment following established procedures prior to daily use. Reports any deviation to the physicist. Uses radiation detection equipment in a safe and careful manner. Inspects ancillary devices prior to use. Reports any problems to appropriate person. Verifies functioning of the radiation detectors. Checks blocks for proper orientation and accuracy before filming. Performs weekly QA on simulator and treatment equipment folowing established procedures. Assists in maintenance of the dark room. Report any problems to the appropriate person for corrections. Maintains accurate records of all equipment service/function/maintenance etc. Minimum Qualifications Graduation from an AMA accredited school of Radiation Therapy is required. Knowledge of principles, techniques and methodology of radiation therapy is required. Behavior and personality conducive to working with cancer patients is necessary.
