Radiation Therapist Full Time Days

Evaluates prescribed imaging and makes requested changes

• Accurately documents treatment information in the patient electronic record
• Utilizes the record and verify system
• Reviews all new starts for consistency
• Verifies patient positioning and field orientation
• Checks the record and verify system for prescription, treatment parameters, doses, treatment accessories, and monitor units

Maintains department supplies and provides education experiences

• Maintains department supplies
• Provides supervised education experiences for students fulfilling curriculum requirements of the academic institution

Assists with after-hours on-call coverage

• Participates in after hours on-call coverage
• Maintains competency with after-hours treatment coverage
• Performs 2D treatment calculations
• Works with minimal direction and supervision

Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities

• Computer literate
• Proficient in Electronic Health Records and record and verify systems
• Knowledge of anatomical structures for localization
• Technical skills to accomplish treatment plans proposed by Radiation Oncologists
• Ability to learn and use Radiation Therapy software packages

Education

• High School Grad or Equiv
• Technical/Vocational School
• Field Of Study: Graduate of an AMA approved school of Radiation Therapy program

Work Experience

• 1+ radiation therapy experience (Preferred)
